The UAE Billiards and Snooker Federation, originally established in 1988 as the Emirates Billiards and Snooker Association, has experienced steady growth over the years. It gained official recognition from the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and became a member of the Asian Confederation of Billiards Sports in 1990 and the International Billiards and Snooker Federation in 1991.
Its regional and international presence expanded further through joining the GCC Organizing Committee for Billiards and Snooker in 1992, the Arab Billiards and Snooker Federation in 2000, and the West Asian Billiards and Snooker Federation in 2010.

In 2003, the organization was renamed the UAE Billiards and Snooker Federation, with another anticipated name update in 2024 to reflect its evolving role and ambitions.
