The Emirates Billiard Sports Federation has announced the opening of registration for the inaugural UAE Billiard Teams League 2027, officially sponsored by AYAT, as part of its ongoing commitment to developing billiard sports in the United Arab Emirates, strengthening national competitions, and providing a competitive platform that brings together billiard clubs and halls from across the country.
The launch of the league marks an important step in the Federation’s efforts to expand participation in billiard sports, encourage greater involvement from clubs and billiard halls, and create additional opportunities for players to demonstrate and develop their technical and competitive abilities. The initiative also aims to identify emerging talent, promote teamwork and sportsmanship, and further strengthen the position of billiards within the UAE’s sporting landscape.
The UAE Billiard Teams League 2027 is scheduled to begin on 10 January 2027, featuring five months of national competition involving teams representing billiard clubs and halls throughout the Emirates. The league will be played in the 9-ball discipline, offering participants a structured competitive experience that combines precision, concentration, technical skill, and teamwork while providing valuable opportunities to compete against players of different experience levels.
The Federation explained that registration is open to billiard clubs and halls across the UAE, with each participating club or hall permitted to register one team consisting of five players, including three active players and two substitutes. Each team fixture will feature nine individual matches, played in a Race to 7 format, ensuring a competitive structure that rewards consistency, focus, and strong team performance throughout the league.
The competition will progress to the Top 16 stage, leading to the Grand Final, which will be hosted at a venue selected by the Emirates Billiard Sports Federation. This final stage will bring together the leading teams as they compete for the inaugural league championship title, marking a significant milestone in the development of organized team-based billiard competitions in the UAE.
To encourage participation and recognize outstanding performance, the Federation has announced a major prize fund for the top eight teams, with the championship-winning team receiving AED 70,000. The prize structure reflects the Federation’s commitment to strengthening the competitive environment, motivating clubs to develop their teams, and supporting higher standards of performance within national billiard competitions.
The Federation confirmed that team registration is completely free of charge, and participation is open to UAE Nationals and legal UAE Residents. This inclusive approach aims to expand access to organized competition, encourage participation from players of diverse backgrounds, and create a unified sporting environment that promotes talent development, teamwork, and positive competition.
Regarding registration procedures and organizational deadlines, the Federation announced that 20 October 2026 is the deadline for club registration, while applications from venues interested in hosting league fixtures will be accepted until 31 October 2026. The final deadline for player registration is 20 November 2026, allowing participating teams to complete their official rosters ahead of the league’s launch in January 2027.
The Emirates Billiard Sports Federation has invited all eligible billiard clubs and halls across the UAE to complete their registration within the announced deadlines through the official online registration form. The Federation emphasized the importance of meeting the registration requirements to ensure that all participating teams are fully prepared for the start of the competition.
